 Our friends came by Pender to meet the new darling puppy, and shot some vid of... 

The Day that Freja came to Canada.  

While we waited for the new adopted owners to come get her, we set her loose in the yard with Frisco. Freja was obviously part jaw-smacking-crocodile (remember those days) and Frisco quickly showed her who was boss...in a loving-big-brotherly Staffy way

RIP Rufus

Yes, it is true, I have some very sad news.  This summer, our poor little Rufus slipped off a dock and got trapped underneath and unfortunately drowned.  It was a very tragic and unfortunate accident and of course left his owners devastated...and left us pretty shook up also.  Of all the pups, Rufus was a regular at the E Pender Street Dojo.  

He was so silly, and lived up to the name of Rufus the Doofus, with his goofy smile and playful nature.  Rufus was a best friend, amazing companion and good-natured representative of the Staffy breed.  He was a superstar around the DTES, and had many homeless friends that came to see him on the daily.  

Rufus will never be forgotten as he was truly a special Staffy, with his soft kisses and goofy gait, he melted a lot of hearts and will always be our Doofus.
