Yes, it is true, I have some very sad news. This summer, our poor little Rufus slipped off a dock and got trapped underneath and unfortunately drowned. It was a very tragic and unfortunate accident and of course left his owners devastated...and left us pretty shook up also. Of all the pups, Rufus was a regular at the E Pender Street Dojo.
He was so silly, and lived up to the name of Rufus the Doofus, with his goofy smile and playful nature. Rufus was a best friend, amazing companion and good-natured representative of the Staffy breed. He was a superstar around the DTES, and had many homeless friends that came to see him on the daily.
Rufus will never be forgotten as he was truly a special Staffy, with his soft kisses and goofy gait, he melted a lot of hearts and will always be our Doofus.
